Van Ert brings nearly three decades of experience in the water industry to ZwitterCo, most recently serving as senior vice president of global key accounts at Veolia.

He will now oversee the implementation of ZwitterCo's growth strategies in North America and around the world, driving partnerships and the commercial adoption of the company's zwitterionic membrane technology.

“We are thrilled to welcome Myron to the ZwitterCo team as our first chief commercialoOfficer, a pivotal hire that marks a new chapter in our company’s growth,” said ZwitterCo co-founder and CEO Alex Rappaport. “Myron’s deep understanding of the levers that move the water industry, his diverse skill set spanning membranes, solutions, and services, and his extensive global network will be instrumental as we work to embed our transformational technology into world-changing solutions.”

Van Ert’s leadership in the water treatment industry began at Osmonics Inc. That company was subsequently acquired by GE Water & Process Technologies, Suez Water Technologies and Solutions, and eventually Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions. Myron held increasingly senior positions throughout those corporate transitions, driving international expansion efforts across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa and leading key account strategies for some of the largest global industrial clients.

“ZwitterCo’s solutions deliver exceptional value to customers facing complex water challenges, and I look forward to partnering with industries worldwide to help them to solve these challenges, achieve their sustainability goals, and do so all the while improving their bottom line,” said Van Ert. “With ZwitterCo’s talented team and cutting-edge technology, we are well-positioned to become a global leader in this space.”

Last month, ZwitterCo announced a successful US$58.4 million Series B funding round, which was led by Evok Innovations and included participation from DCVC, BHP, Munich Re Ventures, Siteground, HG Ventures, and Blue Horizon Advisors. The funding is being used to accelerate the deployment of ZwitterCo’s membrane technology as the company grows internationally and expands its technology platform.
