Williamson is new president of ITT Water & Wastewater

ITT Corporation announced that John P Williamson, 48, has been named president of its Water & Wastewater business, headquartered in Stockholm.  Williamson replaces Per-Inge Birgersson, who is retiring after leading the organization for the last six years.

Gretchen McClain, president of ITT Fluid Technology commented: “John is a proven business leader with two decades of global experience, and he brings an intense customer focus, confidence and energy to approach new challenges. John has experience across all of our businesses, a broad market view and the leadership skills to align and lead our Water & Wastewater business at a very important time.” 

Williamson joined ITT in August of 2005 as vice president and director of Operational Excellence for the corporation.  From April of 2007 through March of 2009, he was president of ITT Residential and Commercial Water, responsible for serving the Building Services market for water pumps and systems.

Prior to working for ITT, Williamson spent 17 years with the Danaher Corporation, ultimately serving as senior vice president of Global Operations for the Fluke Corporation.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from California State University Fullerton, and holds a Certificate in Strategic Marketing Management from Harvard Business School.
