The Japanese Veolia Water subsidiary has successfully bid on the O&M contracts for two water treatment plants in Hiroshima and Kyoto. Veolia Water Japan has been operating the facilities since 2006 and 2009, respectively, and has now extended the contracts with a four-year renewal to in Hiroshima and a three-year renewal in Kyoto.
Veolia Water Japan has also won a five-year O&M contract involving all facilities used to treat drinking water in Matsuyama, on the southern island of Shikoku. This is Veolia Water’s first drinking water contract for a Japanese city.
