The FlexFill™ assembly provides a convenient way to transfer aseptically bottled cell culture media, sera,
reagents, supplements, buffers and microcarriers to a bioreactor. FlexFill™ mitigates the risk of product
contamination and effectively addresses the challenges associated with directly transferring sterile bottled
liquids to single-use or multiple-use bioreactor systems in non-permissive environments.
Meissner adds that the FlexFill™ single-use biocontainer transfer assembly is easy to operate. FlexFill™’s extra large screw cap port and unique location allow for rapid and convenient filling of the biocontainer assembly. This step is easily conducted aseptically inside a laminar flow hood using the portable stainless steel FlexCessory™ stand. Once filled, the liquid can either be stored in the biocontainer assembly or transferred, incrementally or in its entirety, without any hold up volume to your culture system. FlexFill™ assemblies can be customised to support aseptic connectivity with a host of fitting and tubing options to allow for a seamless interface with the process.
