Organised by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), Taiwan International Water Week and Circular Economy Taiwan (TIWW & CE Taiwan 2020) ended successfully on 26 September, despite the lack of international buyers, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

There were still more than 1,000 domestic professional buyers present at the venue, including well-known industry players. With the focus on environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) factors in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the 5 R (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover) criteria for environmental protection, TIWW and CE Taiwan support the industry move towards improved practices by showcasing the latest water technologies and green energy recycling trends.

Exhibits included products capitalising on data analysis and remote monitoring technologies, such as smart water meters, smart water quality detectors, and wastewater recycling membrane filtration technologies, which attracted many visitors.

The next edition of TIWW and CE Taiwan will be held at Taipei World Trade Center, Hall 1 from 14–16 October 2021, and organisers hope to continue to create business opportunities within the industry.
