Steinert installs plant at Texas steel mill

The Steinert/Metso plant combines multi metering, stage sizing, magnetic, eddy current, sensor, and shape technology. The Seguin facility was also outfitted with diagnostic, control and communication technologies enabling total control of recovery and system efficiency by plant supervisors as well as support teams at Steinert and Metso.

“The Seguin plant is a testament to Steinert’s unique blend of technology and reliability as well as our ability to provide flexible equipment that can easily adapt to changing market conditions and evolving recovery specifications,” said Steinert president Jason Looman. “We are proud to have been chosen as the provider of choice for this project and look forward to a long working relationship with CMC.”

“We are proud to be the supplier to CMC and the partner of Steinert on this state-of-the-art project,” said John Guerry, Metso Recycling vice president. “Process knowledge is as important to our customers as separation technology, and we are happy that CMC awarded Metso and Steinert such an important project.”

Steinert US is the North American headquarters of Steinert Elektromagnetbau GmbH, a leader in separation technology solutions for the scrap, waste, recycling and mining industries. The company manufactures magnetic and sensor-sorting equipment designed to separate and recover a wide range of materials.
