The filter contract, with sales revenues in excess of £1 million, was won in a competitive tender.
The leaf disc filters will be used in the manufacture of polyester packaging film. The cleanable filters are designed to operate at high flow rates with a long on-stream life.
“This contract win clearly demonstrates our capabilities. It is a good order for Porvair and strengthens our order book over the balance of 2010 and into 2011,” said Ben Stocks, chief executive of Porvair.
