Outotec to deliver filters to Mexican mines

Under a €30 million contract, Outotec will deliver six large grinding mills and seven pressure filters. Outotec will also provide installation, commissioning and start-up services as well as spare parts for the technology package.

Filter deliveries are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2013.

Grupo Peñoles is a long-standing Outotec customer with an installed base of five grinding mills and 40 Outotec Larox pressure filter units in the mining company’s sulphide concentrate applications.

“Energy efficiency and sustainable production are vital factors in today’s investment decisions. We are happy to provide Grupo Peñoles with a technology package that enables them to further reduce energy and water usage and thus environmental impact of their operations,” said Jari Rosendal, president of Outotec’s Non-ferrous Solutions business area.
