Noveko subsidiary Epurair to equip Complexe Desjardins with filters

The three-year agreement, the financial terms and conditions of which the parties have decided to keep confidential, covers the supply and cleaning of the filters in the four million square foot, Complexe Desjardins. The site includes three office towers with a total of 99 floors, a commercial gallery with 110 shops and restaurants, several Desjardins Group institutions, numerous governmental services and health services.

Alain Bolduc, president and chief operating officer of Noveko said: “We are proud that a building as prestigious and large-scale as Complexe Desjardins is the first client to be equipped with our antimicrobial filtration solution. This agreement is the outcome of a process that began ten months ago when we met with DGI's (Desjardins Gestion Immobiliere) representatives, followed by the development of a customized filter that proved its effectiveness as a filtration solution unmatched on the market thanks to a series of tests conducted on-site over a period of more than six months.”

Epurair filters incorporating the Noveko antimicrobial filtration technology consist of four layers of synthetic fibre which are fully leak-proof and offer an excellent resistance to temperature variations. The superior filtration effectiveness of the filters also enables users to achieve energy savings. Thanks to their greater durability and the fact that they are washable and recyclable, the number of filters used is reduced considerably.

Jean Ruest, senior director, buildings, Desjardins Gestion Immobiliere said: “We are pleased to offer our customers and all our tenants a solution that stands apart for its effectiveness, cost-efficiency and eco-friendliness, especially since it fits with our energy-savings and sustainable development efforts. The tests conducted on Epurair filters showed us they consume less energy from our ventilation systems. We will also achieve handling and labour savings and substantially reduce our filtration inventories and waste. All these factors, combined with the filters' antimicrobial properties, motivated us to opt for this filtration solution.”
