Mann+Hummel’s antiviral air purifiers will be an integral part of the hygiene and safety concept at the Greentech Festival, a green technology even taking place from 16–18 June in Berlin.

The filtration specialist has provided over 50 antiviral air purifiers, which are being spaced out across the 3500 m2 exhibition space at Kraftwerk Berlin and the Heeresbäckerei. The devices purify the air five to six times per hour. Their HEPA H14 filters, certified according to ISO 29463 and EN1822, are capable of safely filtering more than 99.995% of viruses and their mutations, bacteria and micro-organisms from the air. This keeps the aerosol concentration in the exhibition space to a minimum.

Jan-Eric Raschke, director Air Solution Systems at Mann+Hummel, said: “We may be used to exhibiting but providing our technology to ensure the event goes ahead safely in the first place is certainly something new for us. We look forward to a special event experience in a safe environment.”

The event was approved as a pilot project by the Berlin Senate and is one of the first events in Berlin that can take place both online and with visitors.
