Marold moves to Lydall from Sontara, a business division of Jacob Holm Group, where he was chief operating officer. Sontara is a global nonwovens business that produces products used in a range of industrial and medical applications.
Before joining Sontara, Marold held leadership positions at Clarcor, American Air Filter and Ahlstrom Oy.

Marold holds a BS in Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and completed his post-graduate studies at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
He is a member of the executive committee of the board of directors of the Association of the Nonwovens Fabrics Industry (INDA) and a former member of the board of directors of the National Air Filtration Association (NAFA).
