Especially adapted viscose fibres are used as a substitute for diatomite which is commonly used in this area. Viscose fibres could signal an improvement due to their natural origin, environmentally sound disposal and physiological and hygienic safety. Furthermore, their physical and chemical properties can be adapted to the user’s specific needs.
