The newest developments and technologies in nonwovens will be showcased and illustrate how their versatile qualities can provide solutions in a multitude of other industries.
Index 14 will also host a series of special events that will provide an additional platform to share knowledge and to network with business contacts from around the world.

Tuesday, 8 April: EDANA stand - Index 14 Awards, Edana, the international association representing the nonwovens and related industries and sponsor of Index 14, will announce the winners of the Index 14 Awards. The awards are designed to encourage and acknowledge innovation and new ideas in nonwovens, their raw materials and the machinery used in making or converting nonwovens.
Tuesday, 8 April, 13.00 - 16.00: Edana will organise a conference on the major applications and latest trends in nonwovens for the automotive industry. Keynote speakers will include key decision-makers from the entire supply chain: OEM’s and Tier 1 and 2 manufacturers, nonwoven and raw materials suppliers.
Tuesday afternoon, 8 April: the European Geotextiles Association will hold a free of charge workshop open to all Index 14 visitors on . A number of keynote speakers will cover nonwovens-related innovations in the field including:
- 'Effects of nonwoven geotextiles: pilot experiments aimed at reducing snow and ice melt at the Presena Glacier (Trento, Italy)', by Antonella Senese, Università Statale of Milan
- 'Applications and new challenges for geotextiles - Opportunities for nonwovens: Transportation applications – Designs, specifications, installation and applications', by Stephen Corbet, Technical Director with AECOM
- 'The Nonwoven market for geotextiles – Application trends, growth opportunities and market dynamics', by Ms Silke Brand-Kirsch, Schlegel & Partners
The Director of The European Geotextiles Association, Dr. Daniele Cazzuffi will lead the discussions.
Wednesday, 9 April 10.00 - 13.00: nonwovens in packaging conference - a conference dedicated to innovations in the field of packaging and featuring leading speakers from the industry will be available free-of-charge to all visitors registered for Index 14.
Friday, 11 April: nonwovens research & Innovation showcase - nonwovens research & innovation showcase open to research institutes who are either Edana members and/or exhibitors.
Free ‘taster’ tutorialsEdana will also offer visitors to the event the possibility of attending free nonwovens ‘taster’ tutorials on topics such as general nonwovens, absorbent hygiene products and nonwovens in filtration applications.
