H2O Innovation awarded industrial and wastewater contracts worth C$3.2mn

H2O Innovation Inc has secured an engineering contract on a capital equipment project for the largest electric vehicle manufacturer in the US, as well as four new municipal and industrial capital equipment projects.

These new contracts, together worth C$3.2 million, bring H2O Innovation's Water Technologies & Services (WTS) sales backlog to C$37.1 million.

Under the engineering contract, H2O Innovation will design two identical reverse osmosis (RO) trains, each rated at 2200 m3/day, for an electric vehicle manufacturing plant located in Texas. When the engineering work is successfully completed, a purchase order for construction and delivery of the equipment should be issued.

The first of the four projects is for an upgrade of the 7500 m3/day Granbury Wastewater South Plant, in Granbury, Texas. The existing conventional activated sludge plant will be converted to a membrane bioreactor (MBR) facility with biological phosphorus removal using H2O Innovation’s flexMBR universal membrane system.

H2O Innovation will also redesign and replace a failing MBR system at a school in the State of Maryland, using ceramic membranes.

The third project is a demonstration pilot for H2O Innovation’s novel Silo technology at an industrial customer in the US Midwest.

The final project will see H2O Innovation supply two RO demonstration units at the Hyperion Water Reclamation facility in Southern California for long-term testing and public outreach. Each unit will be capable of producing up to 134 m3/day treating secondary MBR filtrate.
