Gore says that specifically, the new filter bags decrease filter drag while achieving best in class durability, life and emissions. The company says that for decades the steel industry has recognized the expanded Polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) membrane invented by Gore as a problem solving filter material. An entirely new class of membranes developed by Gore acts as a true surface filter in fume and fine powder applications. Gore says its Low Drag Filter Bag balances this filter performance through the simultaneous optimization of four attributes:
- Increased airflow
- Increased fan efficiency
- Increased flow capacity
- Increased bag life
