Gerard Daniel Worldwide buys Langley Wire Cloth Products

The acquisition gives GDW, a manufacturer and importer of wire cloth sold to the filtration, aerospace, automotive, and electronics industries, an even larger range of capabilities and screening products.

Langley has operated out of two locations, one in Collierville, Tennessee and the other 100 miles away in Adamsville. To improve Langley’s efficiency and internal communications, GDW has now consolidated all of Langley’s operations in Adamsville.

Gary Shultis, GDW’s chairman and CEO, says that the acquisition of Langley is a natural fit that will benefit both organisations.

“GDW has been a major wire cloth supplier to Langley since Langley’s founding. When Harold and Nita Langley, Langley’s founders, were looking for an exit strategy that would allow their many loyal employees to continue working with another family-oriented company, they believed selling their business to GDW was the ideal solution,” said Shultis. “Both companies have shared customers in OEM filtration, automotive, aerospace and consumer products. We look forward to learning more about the Langley customer base and how we can work closely with them to increase the value that the combined Langley/Gerard Daniel capabilities can bring,” added Shultis.
