Optimarin has been working with Filtersafe on ballast water treatment (BWT) projects for more than ten years. For the current project, Filtersafe’s 125m3/hour, BS-050 filter is a key element of Optimarin’s ballast water treatment systems.
The BS-050 is a single screen, horizontal configuration filter – a compact design with a very low flush-flow rate. It is easy to maintain and any necessary work can be done by one person using an inspection port. No special tools or lifting of significant weight is involved. The BS-050 includes a preliminary coarse screen to large solids entering the filtration chamber.
