1. Researchers develop desalination technique inspired by trees

A research team from the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) in Gujarat has developed a cost-effective, environmentally friendly water desalination technique that can successfully remove more than 99% of salt ions and other impurities with natural processing to make seawater potable.

 

2. Micronics acquires National Filter Media

The Micronics Engineered Filtration Group has acquired National Filter Media (NFM), a US provider of air pollution control and liquid filtration products.

 

3. Centrisys/CNP names new COO

Centrisys/CNP, the North American manufacturer of decanter and thickening centrifuges and dewatering systems, has promoted Madhavi Batchu to chief operating officer.
