Devon Energy selects Whittier Filtration unit

The Jackfish project uses Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) to extract the bitumen.

The Whittier Filtration AutoFlot IGF unit, which will be delivered in September 2011, will have a capacity of 932 m3/hour of oily produced water. The pressurized design of the flotation cell allows easy removal of the oil from the produced water in the internal baffle chambers. The pressurized system prevents the escape of H2S gas and other potentially hazardous vapours.
