Bilfinger seals Water division sale

Bilfinger will receive net proceeds of €200 million from the sale.

“With the sale of the Water division, we continue to consistently apply our strategy of greater focus. We are concentrating on core businesses, core industries and core regions,” said Per Utnegaard, chairman of the Bilfinger executive board. “For the new owner, water technology is part of the core business, which will open up new development prospects for the employees.”

The Water Technologies division, which had a turnover of approximately €300 million last year and employs about 1600 people, specialises is water and wastewater management, screening and filtration technologies for separating solids from liquids and gases, as well as vacuum technology. Products and services are marketed under the Airvac, Diemme Filtration, Geiger, Johnson Screens, Noggerath, Passavant and Roediger brand names.

Diemme Filtration piston and piston-membrane pumps are manufactured for filter press feeding and are suitable for pumping particularly abrasive or corrosive liquids, whose chemical-physical characteristics are variable.
