The new, highly-engineered media has multiple layers to trap and hold the smallest contaminants, thus providing maximum protection for modern high pressure fuel systems. Comparisons with the previous model show that the BF46002 cleans better and has a 28% improved performance at particle sizes less than 5 micron.
Tests also show that it continues to provide ISO 4406 12/9/6 cleanliness levels about 30% longer than the original model (measured in gallons of fuel filtered) and it has a 25% higher dirt-holding capacity. The BF46002 is a high performance alternative for protecting Cummins QSK MCRS engines.
Extensive testing has been conducted in the field to validate all aspects of the BF46002 design. Baldwin Filters is part of the Clarcor Engine Mobile Group, a segment of Clarcor and Clarcor’s real-world simulation test methods were used to measure ISO 4406 cleanliness levels over the new filter's anticipated life.
