The filters from Polytech Filtration Systems Inc have a compact size which eliminates the need for expensive sump or coolant transfer pumps while delivering differential pressures at least 30% greater than conventional vacuum filters.
Polytech engineering manager, Chris Ashley said: “The SL Series compact automatic vacuum filters offer outstanding filtration performance and longer coolant life with both water and oil based coolants. Our new design extends the advantages of vacuum filters to a wider range of machine tool coolant filtration applications with heavy stock removal or heavily aerated coolant that conventional vacuum filters cannot handle, especially those with oil based coolants.
"Our patented design reduces cost and simplifies the coolant filtration system by eliminating the need for a transfer sump pump, while significantly increasing system reliability and performance," concluded Ashley.
