The Aquatech Vertical Tube Falling Film (VTFF) evaporator technology will be used to treat and recover more than 95% of the OTSG (Once-Through Steam Generator) blowdown to supply as boiler feedwater make-up for JACOS’s heavy oil production facility.
The Hangingstone Project, which is located approximately 50 km southwest of Ft McMurray, is a joint venture between JACOS and CNOOC Ltd’s Nexen Energy ULC. The bitumen production capacity during the initial stage will be approximately 20 000 barrels per day.
