The event brings together key filtration players, including the Filtration+Separation team at Booth 525, connecting thought leaders, suppliers and innovators over three days.

At FiltXPO 2023, more than 130 exhibitors from the filtration supply chain will showcase their solutions, technologies and innovations to over 1,200 global professionals. A three-day technical program will cover new technology, products and research. There is also a 1.5-day Filter Media Training Course where participants will learn about the physics of filtration, how nonwoven media is designed and used in air and liquid filtration, the latest market trends, which applications have unmet needs, and testing standards.

“Filtration professionals come to FiltXPO to gain competitive market intelligence, find innovations for their products, and get their technical questions answered by the experts,” said Matt O’Sickey, INDA Director of Education & Technical Affairs. “For anyone with filtration business in North America, FiltXPO is the place to be to grow that business.”

Here are some not-to-be-missed exhibitor highlights.

Booth 301

Since 1976, Beverlin has been a leader in perforated filter cores and welded assemblies for companies around the world in markets including aerospace, power generation, oil & gas, industrial, medical, defense and automotive.

Beverlin provides its customers with the products they need – most products are custom made per the customer’s specifications. The company can build virtually any diameter, length, material type, perforation pattern including end margins, and thickness and in either straight weld or spiral weld seam.

Aside from its extensive standard offering of cores, Beverlin will also be showcasing and highlighting four product categories at FiltXPO 2023: large cores; welded assemblies; exotic super austenitic alloys; and a new patented ‘seamless’ technology.

More and more Beverlin is seeing the need for larger diameter cores at 12” and bigger as well as long lengths of 80” and bulk tubing requests of 20 feet long or more.

Beverlin has been helping its customers with 100% complete welded assemblies including the core, CNC components, sleeves, posts, flanges and more which allows them to focus on an efficient cleanroom type assembly. At FiltXPO, Beverlin will also be sharing its ability to provide perforated cores and assemblies that are made from exotic super austenitic alloys like Hastelloy, Duplex, Super Duplex, Nickel 625, Nickel 825 and Titanium.

Additionally, Beverlin will be highlighting a new patented ‘seamless’ technology with exceptional tolerance that outperforms stainless steel in its mechanical properties and in corrosion while also providing holes as small as 80 microns – Beverlin believes it will be a game changer for some applications.

Over the three days of FiltXPO, visitors will have the opportunity to discover Intermas’s advanced solutions for the filtration industry, especially the company’s netting range used as pleat support with filter media in different types of filters.

Did you know that Intermas is one of the few companies in the world able to design and manufacture netting with technical polymers?

PA6 and PBT, for example, are suitable for high temperature filtering applications (up to 160°C/320°F). They are ideal for pleating and lamination with filter media. Other meshes in PP or PE are used to protect filter cartridges and produce reverse osmosis modules. For further information, meet Intermas’s expert team onsite in Chicago.

Adhesives from Jowat ensure the optimum bonding of different filter parts, facilitating efficient manufacturing processes and high-quality filters.

Jowat is a partner for the bonding of air filters and filter media, pleating and frame bonding and laminating of activated carbon filter media.

The pleating of filter media demands adhesives that make manufacturing processes efficient, keep the filters permanently in shape, and withstand the high mechanical and thermal stresses. Jowat’s Jowatherm adhesives facilitate fast downline processing due to short open times and high initial strength and provide optimum support for the high production speeds in filter pleating processes.

Jowatherm 262.25 is a powerful adhesive for the pleating of HEPA and ULPA filters. Quick downline processing enables high-speed manufacturing in filter pleating processes. Its wide range of application, allows the use for all common filter media used in building filters, such as glass fibers and nanofibers as well as PP and PES nonwovens. The product also offers very good oxidation stability in the melt and keeps a bright and clear colour for a long time.

In addition, Jowat supplies tailor-made solutions for different special applications in the filter industry.
