Veolia to design and build water treatment plant in Dakar

The facility will have a daily capacity of 40 000 cubic metres of water.

Treatment will consist of raw water aeration, physical-chemical treatment and sand filtration. The water will then be disinfected using chlorine produced on site by electrochlorination.

The project, which is part of a SONES program to substantially increase the drinking water supply to Dakar and its suburbs, is financed by a West African Development Bank loan.
