Mann+Hummel’s water treatment business unit Microdyn-Nadir is acquiring Oltremare, an Italian manufacturer of spiral-wound membrane elements.
Based in Fano, Italy, Oltremare produces custom and private-label spiral products and distributes reverse osmosis, ion exchange and other products used for water treatment and purification.
Along with the 2016 acquisition of TriSep Corp, Oltremare will expand Microdyn-Nadir’s capability to provide customized products and solutions.
“This strategic purchase is a continuation of Microdyn-Nadir’s commitment to service both the Water & Wastewater and Process & Specialties application segments,” said Walter Lamparter, CEO of Microdyn-Nadir. “Adding Oltremare to our team increases our ability to service our customers around the world and continues to accelerate our growth in the water treatment business.”
Oltremare, which currently sells most of its products in Europe, will continue operating under Marco Nava.
“I am excited to combine Oltremare’s capabilities with Microdyn’s global sales organization. I look forward to introducing Oltremare products to companies around the world!” said Nava.
This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of January.
