LANXESS RO membranes remove trace elements from water

Lanxess says that the operating pressure required in the pressure vessel is 40% lower, which could reduce operating costs. Furthermore, the RO membranes can remove trace elements from wastewater and drinking water.   Synthetic organic substances, known as trace elements, can be found in bodies of water. Originating from drugs, household chemicals, industrial chemicals, cosmetic products and crop protection agents, they are introduced into the water system by household and industrial wastewater.   The product designation “ULP” stands for “Ultra Low Pressure,” because the advantage of these membranes is their ability to remove such organic compounds almost entirely, even at low operating pressures.
