Ivy League school uses Evoqua’s Vortisand system for chilled water loop

Incoming water quality was adversely affecting the Ivy League school’s chiller system and water loop by increasing the potential for fouling, resulting in higher costs and reduced cooling efficiencies.

Evoqua delivered a fully skidded Vortisand 700 gpm sidestream filtration system, turning the 1 million US gallon volume once per day.

A clean HVAC and chiller water loop system will help the Ivy League school to increase the longevity and efficiencies of the equipment, while protecting crucial research projects.

“We’re extremely proud to be involved with this project, helping create a better learning environment for tomorrow’s thought leaders,” said Ken Rodi, president of Evoqua’s Aquatics & Disinfection division.

The Ivy League comprises Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University and Yale University.
