This will be Amiad’s first permanent base in the UK. Previously, Amiad’s products and solutions were sold through its distributor based in Swansea.
The new subsidiary, Amiad Water Systems UK Ltd, will report to Amiad Europe, and provide marketing and technical support functions. Amiad expects to create 5–10 new jobs within the first year.
Amiad says that Swansea, as the home of Welsh Water, offers a perfect platform to build its municipal business as well as provide the water engineering talent needed for its development.
Arik Dayan, CEO of Amiad, said: “With a permanent presence in the UK, we will be in a better position to leverage the increasing demand for clean water solutions in the region. We have been supplying products and solutions to this market for many years, and have been listed on the London Stock Exchange since 2005, and so this feels like a natural fit for Amiad.”
The new subsidiary will expand Amiad’s presence to 11 sites globally, along with a comprehensive network of over 170 distributors, to serve customers in more than 80 countries.
