Porvair’s Microfil GP filters selected by European brewer

03 June 2010

The Microfil GP filters will replace a leading competitor brand to reduce the yeast and bioburden load in the beer prior to flash pasteurisation.

Manufactured from FDA-approved media under clean room conditions, Porvair Filtration Group polymeric filter cartridges include a wide range of end adaptors to enable easy retrofitting into new or existing competitor housings and all membrane filter cartridges are 100% integrity tested during production.

Eric Pert, market manager, Porvair Filtration Group, UK, said: “The installation of Microfil GP filters at our clients 3-million hectolitre beer production facility in Europe demonstrates how Porvair's proprietary filter technology enables breweries to achieve the highest quality standards and improvements in operational performance while also delivering significant cost savings.”
