Berkefeld introduces the midiRO CEDI water treatment system

21 May 2010

The midiRO CEDI (continuous electro-deionisation) uses an electrodemineralisation process to produce demineralised water of a high degree of purity from the permeate of integrated reverse osmosis.

The CEDI systems from Berkefeld have conductivity values of less than 0.5 µS/cm and with two-level demineralisation values up to 0.055 µS/cm. The system is characterised by the fact that it requires less maintenance and consumes less electricity and water. Furthermore, with a water yield of more than 90 %, the system needs no chemicals, making it particularly environmentally friendly. In the course of pure water production, any microorganisms present are reduced by more than 99% and the total organic carbon (TOC) is reduced.
