Algae-X introduces SMART fuel polishing and transfer systems for marine vessels

05 May 2010

The SMART system is designed as an addition to Algae-X’s line of automated fuel dialysis & transfer systems for the marine and emergency generator industry.

The SMART system from Algae-X has a capacity of 600 GPH and is designed to maintain diesel fuel in pristine conditions while removing contaminants such as sludge, water and biological elements from storage tanks. The system combines fuel conditioning and filtration and separation with stainless steel plumbing and fully programmable automation from the Smart Filtration Controller.

The SFC-55 (Smart Filtration Controller) monitors and controls system operation. The SFC-55 is ‘remote ready’ and set up to communicate with the bridge monitoring system (BMS) on a vessel or a BMS in industrial applications. Alarm and pump shut down functions are triggered when filter elements require service and when high pump vacuum and pressure exists, or when water is detected in the separator.
