Alfa Laval Y-series decanter centrifuges for olive processing

12 March 2010

The Y-series decanters from Alfa Laval are optimized for olive oil applications that include clarification, extraction, dewatering and classification on first and second extraction (the re-milling process).

The Y-series decanters transport and treat up to 360 tonnes of olive paste per day, while providing a lower concentration of residual oil in the husk. Alfa Laval’s y-series decanters are designed to cope with the high olive paste volumes, high separation efficiency demands, constant high torque and effective control of the process. The drive system in the Y-series allows the bowl speed and the conveyor speed to be varied independently, providing full operational flexibility.
