NanoCeram-LR pleated filter cartridge designed to replace lenticular filters

10 November 2009

The high performance pleated filter cartridges from Argonide Corporation have a lower shipping weight per cartridge, helping to reduce shipping costs.

Each NanoCeram-LR high performance pleated filter cartridge contains Argonide’s patented non-woven filter media matrix infused with nanoalumina fibers, creating an electropositively-charged depth filter.

Fitting the commercially available lenticular housings, the NanoCeram-LR pleated filter cartridge has shown a greater dirt-holding capacity, higher efficiency, and wider operating pH range than other charged lenticular filters. Initial bacteria and virus retention greater than 7 LRV and 6 LRV (respectively) are projected for the new NanoCeram-LR cartridges.

NanoCeram technology yields SDI (Silt Density Index) values averaging < 0.5 and turbidity levels < 0.01 NTU when incorporated in a pleated cartridge. These results will often out-perform many UF devices currently used in ultrapure water systems.

The NanoCeram-LR pleated filter cartridge includes optional NanoCeram-PAC technology, with the same dimensions but including powdered activated carbon integrated into the media. The result is a pleated filter cartridge with many of the same characteristics but with the additional capability to remove halogens as well as most soluble organics.

All components in NanoCeram-LR pleated filters are FDA-compliant and appropriate for food contact.
