Metso to cut Mining and Construction jobs in Finland

Metso is starting employee negotiations regarding temporary layoffs and 80–100 permanent reductions at its Mining and Construction Technology operations in Tampere and Helsinki, Finland.

The negotiations will affect all 1000 employees at Metso Minerals Inc. Metso currently has about 1000 Mining and Construction Technology employees in Finland and 10 000 globally.

Metso’s Mining and Construction Technology business includes its separation and slurry pumping activities.
