NanoCeram-PACB high performance activated carbon filters

03 September 2009

Water purification manufacturers, Argonide Corporation have launched NanoCeram-PACB to complement their original product NanoCeram.

The NanoCeram powder activated carbon infused filter has won many awards including the 2005 Hall of Fame award from the Space Foundation. NanoCeram filters are capable of removing small particles, bacteria and virus from water at high flow rates, using the principle of electrostatic attraction and adsorption.

The newly designed NanoCeram-PACB filter incorporates NanoCeram's innovative powder activated carbon infused filter media which is pleated around a carbon block centre core. This foul-resistant filter allows the carbon block to more fully utilize its total chlorine adsorption capacity as the NanoCeram-PAC media helps to prevent foulants from reaching the carbon block surface.

Applications for NanoCeram-PACB carbon-based filter cartridges include drinking water for residential and commercial use and process and wastewater applications for industry. NanoCeram-PACB filters are highly efficient for removing chlorine, bromine, iodine, pathogenic microbes, turbidity, colour and odor. The NanoCeram-PACB filters should also prove efficient with other contaminants such as TOC’s, halogenated organics, endocrine disruptors and other soluble toxic substances.
