The controllers from FilterSense have the ability to detect and locate: filter leaks weeks before emissions are visible; failed pulse solenoids that can lead to plugged filters; and ruptured or frozen pulse-jet diaphragms. The controller also provides intelligent filter cleaning which extends filter life and lowers emissions while reducing compressed air use by 15-40% over traditional PLC programming and up to 90% over continuous cleaning, the company says. There is a software option to improve process control features and further automation of EPA record keeping.
The controllers are available in a series of models for small cartridge collectors to large multi-compartment baghouses. A range of analogue and digital I/O are available as well as all major filed buses including Ethernet IP, Modbus TCP, DeviceNet, Profibus and others.
