Online tool helps users select filters

18 April 2011

Parker Hannifin has launched an online filter selector program to help users find the most suitable Parker hydraulic or lubrication filter.

The Parker Hannifin tool allows users to identify the ideal filter by accessing one of two procedures: the Quick and Advanced Selector.
The Quick Selector enables products to be chosen by clicking on the relevant filter location in a circuit diagram, to provide an automatic pre-selection, then lists the product options in the part number generator.
The Advanced Selector allows the user to input the relevant system details and hydraulic fluid requirements needed for sizing the correct filter product. An application pre-selection is made by choosing one of the six market specific circuit diagrams and products can then be selected by clicking on the relevant filter location. For each selection, pressure drop calculations are provided, supported by recommended values based on the system details provided.
The Filter Selector also allows the user to determine to a recommended filter assembly part number by completing a series of specification parameters, including media and micron preferences, seal material, thread options and indicator requirements. Once the process is complete, the user is able to process a product enquiry, download 3D CAD files and pdf technical specifications for further information.
