DESMI Ocean Guard was set up last year by Denmark’s AP Moller - Maersk, Skjølstrup & Grønborg (UltraAqua) and DESMI A/S, specialising in ballast water treatment systems designed to protect local maritime eco-systems. The company is currently testing a 400 m3/h ballast water treatment system at the DHI test facilities in Hundested, Denmark.
DESMI A/S will introduce the system at the SMM marine exhibition in Hamburg and expects to deliver the first systems in 2011.
