Severn Trent Services expands in Asia Pacific with key appointments

Severn Trent Services has expanded its sales and service operations in the Asia Pacific region by hiring and promoting six water and wastewater professionals – four in Shanghai, China and two in Singapore.

•  Jianrong Hou has joined Severn Trent Services as national sales manager for China. All sales personnel in Shanghai will report to Hou. He joins Severn Trent Services after serving as China sales manager for Degremont Technologies China in Beijing. Earlier in his career, he was branch sales manager for municipal and automotive for Siemens Water Ltd China’s Automation and Drive Group.   

•  Sam Zhang has been appointed sales manager for filtration products in the Shanghai office. He has served as business developer for filtration products at Severn Trent Services since 2007, having previously worked for BioChem Technology, which specialises in wastewater process optimisation.

•  Tom Gao has been named sales manager for disinfection products in the Shanghai office. Previously, he was business developer-water treatment market for Air Liquide China in Shanghai.

•  Jackie Shen is now senior sales manager for Severn Trent Services’ seawater electrochlorination and marine sewage business, Severn Trent De Nora, in the Shanghai office. Shen comes to Severn Trent Services from Westinghouse Department of Emerson Process Management Co Ltd in Beijing, where she was senior sales manager.

•  Vincenzo Palma, regional business development and sales manager for Severn Trent De Nora based in the Singapore office, will take on additional responsibility for brine electrochlorination systems in the region.

•  Stephen Yip Yoi Chuen is the new business development manager in the Singapore office, reporting to Palma. Before joing Severn Trent Services, he was sales and marketing manager for Envipure Pte Ltd in Singapore.
