Amiad announces completion of testing and commissioning phase of BCWD filtration system

25 June 2010

The BCWD (Butan City Water District) filtration system is now fully functional as the first half of a projected two-phase project to provide clean drinking water to Butuan citizens.

The system installed by Amiad includes nine self-cleaning filters. This includes two Amiad Brush Filter strainers which filter raw water down to 300 microns to protect the seven Amiad Micro Fibre Filters (AMF) installed down stream from large debris. The system filters the water down to 2 microns with turbidity of less than 5 NTU.

Arik Dayan, CEO of Amiad Filtration Systems, said: “The Amiad Filtration System installed in Butuan is designed to reduce the high level of turbidity and actually produces clean drinking water that is superior to the quality of bottled water, at a much lower cost. At Amiad, we are dedicated to providing creative and reliable solutions to overcome any water challenge.”
