Mann+Hummel invests €4.5mn in Marklkofen facility expansion

The filter manufacturer will invest approximately €3.5 million in buildings and €1 million in testing equipment. A new laboratory with measurement facilities in a cleanroom environment will enable Mann+Hummel to carry out more comprehensive on site tests on filter elements produced in Marklkofen for the automotive industry and mechanical engineering industry.

Construction work at Marklkofen will begin in July 2012, with facility start-up planned for the second quarter of 2013.

According to Mann+ Hummel, the Marklkofen facility is the largest filter production facility in the world. The Marklkofen plant currently employs more than 2500 people and produces over 600 000 oil filters, fuel filters, air filters and cabin filters for the automotive industry and aftermarket every day.
