Screening system for large flow
JWC Environmental has developed the Auger Monster XE screening system which has been designed to remove solids from large flows. It includes a pivoted auger design (a JWC exclusive) which allows the screening trough to easily pivot and swivel out of the channel for inspection, along with an increased removal efficiency with a 35º inclined auger.
The system also incorporates dual ultrasonic level detectors that run the system only when needed to save electricity and a "fail-safe" mode which ensures continuous operation. The Auger Monster XE combines a grinder, a fine screen and a compactor in one compact footprint and can grind, remove, wash, dewaters and compact unwanted solids.
The grinder shreds solids which are captured by a perforated screen (2, 3 or 6mm openings) and removed by the rotating auger. As solids are removed by the auger, fecal matter is washed off in the dual wash water zones. The remaining clean solids continue to the discharge point where the compactor (optional) squeezes out the remaining water.
