Ultrafiltration cassettes for high performance bioprocessing
Pall Corp has developed a range of membrane cassettes to supply ultrafiltration technologies to handle higher protein concentrations in the biopharm industry.
The Omega T- Series membrane cassettes are constructed with materials that reduce extractables to deliver high-purity biological solutions and they can provide effective mass transfer of proteins - which is important for biotech manufacturers, given the significant cost of even minimal volumes of purified protein solutions used in downstream drug production, Pall says.
The Omega T-Series cassettes incorporate Pall's Omega membranes and a new polypropylene screen to increase processing flux rates and product recovery. The cassettes also feature a new exterior design with deeper notches so that cassettes fit more snugly and securely in the holders.
The Omega T-Series cassettes are available in scalable formats for a wide variety of bioprocessing applications.
Pall also offers the two smaller sizes of the Omega T-Series cassettes in the Minimate II single-use format module. Minimate II cassettes are suitable for trials and pilot experiments and can easily scale with Omega T-Series cassettes as they have the same construction materials and flow paths to ensure true linearity in operations.
