Sweco opens facility in China

Screen separation specialist Sweco has opened a manufacturing facility in Maqiao, near Shanghai, China, the eleventh manufacturing location for the company internationally. The 16,000 sq ft facility will initially manufacture selected screens which are currently being manufactured in Florence and shipped to Singapore, and the company plans to manufacturer a more diversified product line in the future for China and Eastern Asia markets.

"This new facility allows us to better serve our customers in China and countries in East Asia," said Sweco Asia managing director, James Wong. "Together with our facilities in India and Singapore , it geographically completes Sweco's establishment in the entire Asia market."
