Membrana commercialises degassing technology
Membrana has commercialised its MicroModule T Membrane Contactors, which are suitable for in-line degassing and debubbling in applications that have small liquid flow rates.
The MicroModules can fit a large amount of membrane area into a small device that can be placed anywhere in a system, improving the efficiency of degassing.
The smaller MicroModule product is 0.5 by 1-in2 and capable of processing fluids up to 30 ml/min. There are two membrane options in this device and depending on which type is used, the device can debubble water used in laboratories and analytical systems or take bubbles out of low surface tension fluids such as ink jet printing inks, oils, or other coatings.
The larger product is 0.75 x 1in round and is best used to debubble water with flow rates up to 200 ml/min. This membrane degassing device improves many processes by removing bubbles and dissolved gasses from water used in laboratories and analytical/biotechnology equipment.
