Low-speed blood banking centrifuge

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc has developed a low-speed centrifuge for blood banking, bio-processing and general sample processing applications. The Sorvall RC3BP Plus is an improved version of the company's established Sorvall RC3BP centrifuge, with an improved operator interface, a new electronic lid-latching system, and a more powerful motor and refrigeration system to increase operational efficiency.

The Sorvall RC3BP Plus can process a wide range of bags, bottles and tubes at volumes up to twelve blood bags or 6 x 1L of sample. The new model also features the Accumulated Centrifugal Effect (ACE), which consistently reproduces the total centrifugal effect by compensating for variations between runs and instruments regardless of rotor load or acceleration every time.
