Paul Mueller to supply Sartorius filter systems

Paul Mueller Company is to take over the manufacturing of biopharmaceutical stainless steel filter systems for Sartorius Stedim Biotech for the US and Canadian biopharmaceutical markets.

Implementation of this take over, which covers the United States, Canada, the US Virgin Islands and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico will begin immediately and means that Paul Mueller Company will be Sartorius Stedim Biotech's exclusive North American partner and supplier of stainless steel systems, such as fermentors, bioreactors, freeze-thaw systems and crossflow and other filtration systems. Sartorius Stedim Biotech and Paul Mueller Company will each continue to offer their own existing products in addition to the products offered jointly under the agreement.

As a result of this development Sartorius Stedim Biotech will close its production facility in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and will be concentrating its systems engineering activities at its site in Springfield, Missouri near its new cooperation partner.
