Good year for nonwovens producer

Nonwovens manufacturer Sandler AG ended 2007 with a turnover of €125 million, up from €112 million in 2006.

The growth comes particularly from the increase in sales in the hygiene, automotive and filtration market segments. The growing demand for substrates for wet wipes led to a further increase in production in this sector.

Newly developed products were especially successful. In the area of filtration, for instance, Sandler benefited from the process of fine mesh filters made of glass fibres being increasingly replaced by those made of polyester.
