Catalyst added to Clear Edge filter system

A catalyst has been added to Clear Edge's Cerafil filter system to produce a product called Cerafil TopKat.

According to the company, Cerafil TopKat represents a revolutionary step forward in filtration technology and was the winner of the IChemE Environmental Award in 2005.

The catalyst can reduce NOx with efficiency up to 95%, with the addition of ammonia or urea, and destroy VOCs, including dioxins, the company says. This level of activity is due to the nano sizing and even distribution of the catalyst particles, and effective NOx abatement and particulate removal is achieved in one step eliminating the need for a further piece of equipment.
